Rainbow Springs State Park is home to one of Florida’s largest natural freshwater springs. The crystal clear sapphire-blue waters of Rainbow Springs and the Rainbow River have been revered by humans for thousands of years. Take a dip in the sparkling spring water or try canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the swift moving river. Back on land, wander the nature trails past waterfalls and through shady gardens filled with azaleas, oaks and magnolias.
The Rainbow Springs Campground is located along the Rainbow River about 6-miles from the main headspring and day use area. The campground offers 56 reservable campsites. All sites have water and electric hook-ups and most are equipped with sewer hook-ups. Additional amenities include showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities. There is also a playground and camp store. The river is easily accessible from the campground for fishing, swimming, or paddling.
