Fort Clinch State Park is best known for its well-preserved Civil War era fort. Visitors can explore the fort while learning about the life of a Union soldier. However, the fort is only one part of this 1,400 acre park! From the enchanting maritime forest filled with twisting trails for hiking and biking to the miles of beach along the Atlantic shoreline for walking, fishing, or simply lounging, Fort Clinch has something for everyone.
There are three campgrounds at Fort Clinch. The Atlantic Beach Campground offers 21 RV and 6 tent-only sites only steps from the ocean. All sites include water hook-ups, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The RV sites also offer electric hook-ups.
The Riverside Campground at Fort Clinch has 42 sites for RVs or tents located deep in a forest of live oak trees dripping with moss. Many sites have a view of the Amelia River.
Finally, there is a primitive group camp that can accommodate up to 75 campers.
Bathrooms with hot showers, a dump station for RVs, and laundry services are also available for campers at Fort Clinch.
