Bahia Honda State Park is located in the Florida Keys just west of the famed 7-Mile Bridge. Boasting palm-tree-lined beaches, turquoise waters, and stunning sunsets, Bahia Honda State Park Campground offers three campground areas with a total of 71 reservable campsites plus 6 cabins.
The Buttonwood camping area is suitable for RVs or tents. The sites are generous in size and all offer water and electric hook-up along with a picnic table and charcoal grill. Sites #12-25 are prime waterfront sites overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
The Bayside camping area is for tents or vans with a max vehicle height of 6 feet 8 inches due to a low bridge. All sites have a picnic table, grill, and water.
The Sandspur camping area is located on the Atlantic side of the park with smaller sites for tents, vans, or RVs up to 15’. Some sites offer water views. This campground area is currently closed due to damage from Hurricane Irma with no projected date for re-opening
Bahia Honda State Park camping is popular for good reason. With sandy beaches for swimming, warm shallow water for swimming and kayaking, and boat trips to the reef for snorkeling, it’s no surprise that this is the most popular park in the Florida Keys. Reservations are sold out here year-round and any new site opening is typically gone within seconds!
